Have you ever had a breakfast so delightful it made you question all your past relationship woes? Well, let me regale you with a tale of Zucchini fritters, coffee, and a charming chap from Queensland that left me with a newfound faith in the male species.

A North Hobart cafe on an autumn morning, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee wafting through the air. Enter stage left: a guy from Queensland, let’s call him Bruce (because, well, why not?). Bruce had charm, complete with a smile that could rival the sunrise over the Great Barrier Reef.

But it wasn’t just his smile with perfect teeth that caught my attention; it was his genuine interest in our conversation. He didn’t just nod along politely; he actively engaged, throwing in witty remarks and hilarious anecdotes that had me snorting into my almond latte.

As the morning sun reached its zenith, our breakfast date drew to a close, but not before Bruce suggested we take a stroll, so I took him to my favorite place at Cornelian Bay.

So there I was, walking along the bay, belly full of fritters and a heart full of hope. In that moment, I realized that maybe, just maybe, not all hope was lost in the world of dating. Perhaps there are genuine, sweet, and downright adorable guys out there, like Bruce, who can restore your faith in the male species, one breakfast date at a time.

As I bid farewell to Bruce, promising to keep in touch, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the unexpected ray of sunshine he brought to my day.

So here’s to breakfasts, coffee, and cute guys from Queensland – may they continue to sprinkle a little magic into our mornings.
